HYBE's CEO gives an official statement about BTS's comeback, emphasizing the priority

April 2nd, 2025

Currently, only 2/7 members of BTS, Jin and J-Hope, are active in the entertainment industry. But with excitement and achievements that both have shown after completing their military service, fans are even more helpful about the group's full comeback.

In particular, there are many rumors about when BTS will resume their activities this year that have also been spread on social media. Especially, an unreleased song recording called "High," leaked by a person claiming to be a former YG employee in the early morning of the March 31, along with information that BTS will return at the end of this year.

Faced with the public and investors and partners' excitement about BTS's group's resumption of activities, HYBE CEO, Lee Jaesang, personally announced an official statement at HYBE's annual shareholders' meeting held in Seoul in March 31.

The CEO said about BTS: "BTS members are scheduled to return after completing their military service in the first half of this year, so they need time to prepare and work for their activities after their return."

He continued, "The company is also discussing and preparing [many things] with top-tier composers, but the artists need to think carefully and prepare."

The CEO continued emphasizing what the company and BTS are prioritising at this time, "Usually, we work on songs, release albums, and then go on world tours, but since BTS has already become a global top artist, we are continuing to discuss their vision and future plans, so we need to think about the direction and adjust accordingly."

The CEO's statement gave HYBE fans and partners a clean answer. Although the expectation for an immediate comeback after discharge' is high, BTS is unlikely to do si immediately. The most important point is still to let the members fully discharge and give them more time to prepare and discuss their next projects.

Meanwhile, fans are excited as June is approaching. That is when the remaining five members of BTS will complete their military service.

RM and V will be discharged together on June 10, while Jimin and Jungkook will become civilians a day later. Suga, who is currently serving as a social service worker, will be discharged on June 21.

On the other hand, not long ago, an industry source revealed the prospect of BTS returning as a full group in the second half of this year. Many experts also predicted that their world tour will continue in 2026.

Accordingly, securities companies predict that HYBE's operating profit next year will increase by about 54 percent compared to the previous year. Its value is about 500 billion won.

In contrast to the previous period, the return of J-Hope and Jin as well as the upcoming future of BTS returning as a 7-member group will help HYBE not only increase their revenue but also strengthen their confidence of investors, partners, and fans.
