[News trans] J-Hope, 'the singer who magically donated every time the food runs out'... 4 years of consistent donations to a shelter for abandoned dogs

Even in the dazzling spotlight, there is someone whose heart has always quietly reached out to the voiceless. Over the past four years, BTS’s J-Hope has donated pet food anonymously to a shelter for abandoned dogs and helped fund the construction of new kennels, sharing warmth with those in need.

His silent acts of giving eventually came to light over time, naturally revealing his consistent sincerity and thoughtful care. It’s not just his fame that stands out—J-Hope’s true greatness shines even brighter in his kind actions off stage.

The news of BTS member J-Hope’s steady donations has touched many hearts.

A volunteer from the abandoned dog shelter in Imgok, Busan, posted about their experience, saying:
“Thank you for never forgetting us. Every time we’re about to run out of food, BTS’s J-Hope magically sends us more. It’s not just a one-time thing—we’re so grateful.” The post included photos of the donated food.

J-Hope has been donating to this shelter since 2022, making this his fourth consecutive year of support.

Initially, he donated anonymously through his mother, but in 2023—two years after the donations began—it became known after the shelter strongly encouraged revealing his name. When the news came out, fans also joined in donating to the shelter, further spreading the positive impact. J-Hope didn’t stop at food donations; he also contributed to building new kennels. While serving in the military, he even sent a snack truck to a volunteer site where veterinarians were performing spaying/neutering surgeries for abandoned animals.

Once this became known, reactions on social media and online communities included comments like:
“He’s so thoughtful and kind,”
“It’s amazing how he continues to care—doing this consistently isn’t easy,”
“You can feel his desire to give back the love he’s received,”
“It’s moving how he consistently donates to support women, children, and abandoned animals.”

Beyond this, J-Hope has always shown his love for animals. His own pet is reportedly a rescued dog, and there’s a story of him rescuing a sick stray cat he came across at a filming site—personally taking it to the hospital and helping it find a loving home.

In the past four months, J-Hope has sold out 33 solo world tour shows, attracting over 520,000 attendees and setting a record for the most successful solo K-pop tour. His recent release, “Killin’ It Girl,” entered the Billboard Hot 100 chart at No. 40, marking his 8th career entry—the most ever for a Korean solo artist.

Undoubtedly proving himself as a world-class artist, J-Hope is set to perform a 90-minute headliner set at the Lollapalooza Festival in Berlin, Germany, on July 13.
