Taehyung's Action Protecting Jimin From Bullies During Their School Days Prove Their Close Friendship

  

Within BTS, Taehyung and Jimin are the same age since the were both born in 1995, so it was easy for them to become close like any other friends of the same age. But what's special is that their friendship is stands out so much that not only fans but also other celebrities admire it.

Singer Lizzo once praised them, saying, "You know Jimin is my favorite... I like V too! Their relationship, whenever they perform, they be the next to each other. They're like BBFs." She even improvised a short song inspired by their friendship with the lyrics "I love you, you love me, just like Jimin loves some V... BBFs likie VMin."

Meanwhile, the song "Friends  composed and performed by V and Jimin was chosen for Marvel's Eternals because of its deep meaning drawn from from their real-life friendship that spans from the past to the present.

 

 

 

 

 

If it was only about closeness, then many friendships could be similar. But what makes Taehyung and Jimin's friendship so remarkable is that people admire how the two grew up together—from high school students to global superstars—and how they built their bond through the smallest details, something rarely seen in other friendships.

One story often recalled is from when both had just move to Seoul as Big Hit Music trainees. Taehyung arrived in the city a little earlier than Jimin, so he was able to make friends in class first. Later, when Jimin transferred schools, Taehyung became not only his close friend but also someone who helped him adjust to the new learning movement.

One day, during recess, Taehyung saw Jimin sitting alone at the back of the classroom, fidding with his phone, looking very lonely. Taehyung thought that the other classmates weren't including him "I was surprised so I got angry at my friends and said, 'Why are you not talking to my friend?'" he recalled.

But it turned out to be a misunderstanding! Taehyung's classmates later explained, "I talked for 20 minuts, but Jimin only answered my questions. He was quiet so I stopped talking," showing that they had tried to reach out, but since Jimin was very shy and then, they gave him space.

 

 

 

 

What stood out, however, was that Taehyung immediately became upset and the thought  that his best friend might have been ignored or even bullied as the new student. Bullying of transfer students in Korea isn't uncommon, and if it had happened, it would have been terrible. Taehyung acted like a "mama bear" protecting Jimin, the "little chick."

According to other classmates who studied with them, ARMYs also learned that Taehyung genuinely looked after Jimin. He even asked other friends to take care of him and play with him when he wasn't at school.

Seunghee from OH MY GIRL also mentioned, "I knew Taehyung first. When Jimin switched schools, he ended up in my class. Taehyung introduced me to Jimin and asked me to be his friend. So we all became buddies." This shows how Taehyung tried to help Jimin belnd into the new environment.

 

Thanks to Taehyung's support, Jimin, who was under heavy pressure from a completely new lifestyle and the tough life of a trainee, was able to feel more at ease. It was also Taehyung who once insisted to Big Hit staffs that Jimin absolutely had to debut with BTS when they questioned if he fit the final lineup.

Taehyung even wrote a heartfelt letter to Jimin, saying, "When I'm in the bathroom to cry, you still cry with me. And you come to see me at dawn to laugh alongside me. You care about me and have me in your thoughts. You work hard for me and understand me. You listen to my concern and like me though I'm lacking. Let's walk on the road of happiness. Love you buddy." The letter them made Jimin burst into tears.

In return, Jimin also expressed his gratitude to his closest friend: "I don't know what other people might think. I really learned a lot from him. He makes me feel good and touches muy heart often. That's when I'm grateful to have Taehyung as my friend. So I want to say that I am very grateful."

The friendship between Taehyung and Jimin is truly admirable because they have always given each other genuine thoughts and heartfelt actions.
