RM Spills the Truth About Jimin and Suga's Real Personalities That Many Fans Have Misjudged

In the ARMY fandom, there are quiet a few fans who have followed BTS since their debut days. It has now been more than a decade of being devoted to these global K-pop superstars. Not to mention, most fans has supported the group for a long time — several years or more.
Meanwhile, the BTS members have also revealed many aspects of their genuine personalities to fans, whether on stage or during live broadcasts. They haven't hidden their habits or behaviors when appearing on reality shows, or even the stories they share about one another.
Because of this, many ARMYs believe they already have a full understanding of what their idols are truly like. However, Namjoon delivered a shocking revelation that made ARMYs rethink that belief when he revealed the true personalities of Jimin and Yoongi. It tiruns out there are many sides to these members that even longtime ARMYs never noticed!
Specifically, in a past interview with Twist Magazine, BTS members were asked, "Can you share a fun fact about one of your other band members that even the most dedicated fans wouldn't know?" — and Namjoon gave a truly surprising answer.
He said, "Many people that Yoongi is like the grandfather of the group, but he actually acts more like a little kid. Jimin is the opposite — he looks like a baby, but inside he's mature and like a grandfather."

The news shared by leader Namjoon truly shocked many ARMYs. For the longest time, ARMYs have seen Yoongi as the mature, quiet and serious type. Meanwhile, Jimin has always been considered the "baby" of the group — thanks to his smaller build, cute personality, and his playful moments with the maknae line.
However, those assumptions aren't entirely accurate. From the perspective of someone who's lived with them in the dorms and worked side by side for 15 years, Namjoon knows the truth — Yoongi actually shows a very playful, childlike side within the group, while Jimin is often much more mature than people realize.
What Namjoon revealed reminded fans of several moments where Yoongi turned into a cheerful kid — laughing brightly with the members on "Run BTS!" or "In The Soop." The legendary sauna games and the times he playfully applied mousturizer also showed his mischievous side.
As the second oldest member of BTS, Yoongi is also known for his adorable little habits — like wrinkling his nose, doing tiny hand dances, or making cute facial expressions when he likes something, just like a "little cat," There are also plety of times when his dry sense of humor makes both the members and staff burst into laughter.

Meanwhile, Jimin has often been praised by the BTS members for his maturity. Namjoon once shared, "Although he's younger than me, he's very mature. I guess you could say that mentally, he's really grown. I'm always surprised by his choice of words and the way he speaks. He's very thoughtful, and I always feel healed when I'm with him."
J-Hope also expressed something similar: "Even though he's younger than me, he really has the charisma of a hyung. He has such a big heart, and because of that, he's able to embrace and take care so much. Honestly, his willingness is what I'm most thankful for. He played a big role in helping me relieve my stress."

Perhaps in front of fans, Jimin and Yoongi don't often show these sides of themselves. After all, it's not always easy to express one's true personality openly. Still, these traits have appeared many times — fans just may not have noticed them, which led to some misunderstandings.
After Namjoon's clarification, many ARMYs couldn't help but agree that no one understands BTS better than the members themselves. They were also delighted that Namjoon highlighted such unique and contrasting traits in Yoongi and Jimin's personalities — details that many had overlooked before. Now, fans are hoping that in the future, more of the members' personalities will be revealed so they can compare them with their own impressions.
