The Proud Smile of Jin's parents and Family at the Encore Concert Leave ARMYs Deeply Moved
On October 31 and November 1, Jin held his "#RUNSEOKJIN_EP.TOUR_ENCORE" concert held at the Incheon Munhak Main Stadium, marking the grand finale of his fan-concert tour that began in June. Even a brief rain over the Incheon sky couldn't cool the burning passion shared between the artist and his fans.
Over the course about 150 minutes, Jin performed a total of 18 songs accompanied by a live band, once again proving his presence as a solo artist. He made a surprise entrance—not from the main stage, but from the running track surrounding the stadium while singing "Running Wild" and "I'll Be There" from his first solo debut album "Happy" as he ran a full lap.
This opening was Jin's own idea, symbolising the spirit of "Run Seokjin"—the very title of the concert. It carried the message of "running closer to fans" while also signifying the completion of his global tour and his return home. Jin shared, "I prepared this encore concert with the mindset of closing this journey beautifully. I want to cross the finish line here in Incheon together with ARMY. Please keep running with me until the end."
As an encore fan-concert, several new and special stages were added. Jin played the piano himself for "The Truth Untold (feat. Steve Aoki)" and, for the first time in eight years, performed "Awake" — his very first solo song. The show also included fun interactive segments such as "Telepathy with ARMY," where Jin guessed words through fans' gestures, and "Sing it, ARMY," where he identified songs from fans' group singing, maintaining lovely engagement throughout the night.
The appearance of other BTS members added memorable highlights. On the first day, Hoseok and Jungkook joined Jin for a high-energy performance of "Super Tuna." On the second day, Taehyung took the stage and emotionally shared, "I really missed this view so much. When I imagined the moment when all seven of us stand together again, I suddenly felt overwhelmed." Jimin also made a surprise appearance, performing alongside Jin and Taehyung in a medley of "IDOL," "So What," and "My Universe," sending the crowd into a frenzy.
Moments from the encore concert quickly spread online, dominating social media and receiving immense love from fans. Yet alongside the on-stage excitement, another heartwarming moment went viral—his most cherished supporters, watching and cheering him during such an important performance.
Chef Lee Yeon-bok, one of Jin's close friends, shared several photos that clearly showed the emotions of Jin and his parents. ARMYs especially noticed Jin's father holding up an ARMY Bomb, just like the other fans, enthusiastically supporting his son.
Fans also adored how Chef Lee was seen filming Jin's performance attentively, capturing beautiful moments that later turned into stunning photos. Many commented that Chef Lee looked as proud as a "second father" to Jin.
In another photo with comedian Heo Kyung-hwan, fans could also glimpse the proud and emotional faces of Jin's "biggest fans"—his friends, juniors, parents, and relatives.
Although Jin's older brother didn't share photos of himself or his wife attending the concert, his Instagram post perfectly conveyed his pride and happiness while watching his younger brother shine on stage. He wrote:
๐ค He has running while sing that long song..?
๐ค If this is the kind of encore, I'd welcome another one anythime.
๐ค That was supposed to be a joke but wow.
๐ค Damn, he can sing like that even while scared.
๐ค His sweet 'hey, guys. you gotta follow me...'
๐ค Oh wow... He's up so high. I'd be terrified...
๐ค Seriously beautiful and amazing. Keep fighting from now on too.
Seeing the joy and pride on Jin's family faces—especially his parents, left fans deeply moved. Many recalled how Jin once shared that his parents used to feel small among their friends when talking about their children. But now, fans are certain that Jin's parents can proudly boast about their youngest son—a world-class K-pop superstar.
His parents and family have witnessed every step of his long, difficulty journey alongside BTS. To see him now standing on such a grand stage must have filled them with indescribable happiness.
In the past, BTS endured days of obscurity and poverty—so much so that Jin once "borrowed" a red pot and some cooking supplies, even asking his mother and brother for help with ingredients to make tteokbokki for the group. Those struggling boys have now become successful stars, blessed with wealth, fame, and recognition. Their hard work has finally paid off—and beautifully so.
