A Truth Revealed in the First Episode of “Are You Sure 2” Leaves ARMYs Sobbing

Finally, the highly anticipated second part of the friendship travel series Are You Sure? premiered its first episodes for global fans on December 3 on Disney+. This 12-day journey through Switzerland and Vietnam with Jimin and Jungkook follows the Connecticut–Jeju–Sapporo trip from the first part of the hit series.

Before the broadcast, Disney+ and Big Hit Music teased the upcoming, tumultuous friendship adventure, taking place one year after Part 1. Early reveals about the minimalist travel concept and various game challenges sparked excitement among fans, who were eager for moments filled with laughter and the healing energy brought by BTS’s youngest duo.

True to expectations, when Episode 1 aired, Jimin and Jungkook’s awkward reactions upon first encountering a trip that required minimal luggage and a modest budget made fans laugh from the very start. Jimin appeared flustered by the unexpected task of being allowed only a 20-inch suitcase, saying, “I told you not to bring that,” while Jungkook added to the humor with a surprised expression: “You’re kind of mentally crushed, aren’t you?”

The duo’s genuine reactions — which varied depending on wins and losses in different game challenges set by the production team — provided viewers with plenty of amusement. At the same time, fans were deeply moved by the breathtaking scenery of Switzerland and Da Nang, Vietnam.

One particular detail caught fans’ attention when the first moments of Are You Sure? Part 2 aired: the caption “4 days passed after being discharged on June 15, 2025!” This revealed that the footage reflects Jimin and Jungkook immediately after their military discharge. They didn’t even take much extra rest, heading straight into filming to give something special to their fans, knowing how long they had been waiting.

Earlier, around the end of June, there were rumors that Jimin and Jungkook had departed abroad immediately after being discharged, but many fans assumed it was simply a vacation before resuming activities. In reality, the superstars used their rare rest time to create content for their fans.

Meanwhile, the duo briefly reflected on their military service when calling j-hope in the first episode, deepening fans’ emotions even further. They shared that due to the conditions at their military base, they were unable to shower for more than five days. Jimin added that when they finally had the chance, they scrubbed their bodies thoroughly. Both members then laughed and poked fun at the situation.

Upon returning to normal life after discharge, the duo couldn’t contain their happiness, admitting, “For sure. I’m happy. I don’t see any unhappiness right now,” when j-hope asked, “Life’s way better now, right?” Seeing the smiles and cheerful atmosphere of the BTS members just days after completing their military service brought fans to tears, realizing how challenging those 18 months had been.

These details made ARMYs even more appreciative of the idols’ dedication. Fans flooded social media with comments.

ARMYs comments:

1. They didn’t even rest. Babies. How can we not love them?

2. Their beds didn’t even get to feel them properly and they’re already on the run again. BTS always work hard for ARMY.

3. They never stop working, it’s wild. Thankfully, the trip also turned out to be a happy, healing getaway for both of them. I’m going to watch AYS2 really closely.

4. They started filming only four days after being discharged from the military… Oh God, being loved by Bangtan is the kind of love that can’t be put into words.

5. Just four days after discharge… I genuinely don’t deserve them. My heart hurts.

6. They gave up their only rest time just to make something for us. Borahae Jikook.

7. I’m crying… They always give us everything they have.

8. Seeing them smiling again after everything they went through… I’m so relieved and emotional.

9. I can’t explain this feeling. It’s gratitude, pride, love… all mixed together.

10. They always think of ARMY first. I’m so touched I don’t even know what to say.
