BTS’s Jin Donates 100 Million Won on His Birthday, Once Again Spreading Good Influence: “As Expected of Our Kim Seokjin”

Even on his birthday, BTS’s Jin proved once again why he is on another level — making a meaningful contribution that truly fits the phrase, “something only Kim Seokjin could do.”

On December 4, in celebration of his 32nd birthday, Jin once again demonstrated what it means to be an “icon of good influence” by donating 100 million won to the Namgwang Social Welfare Foundation in Busan on the 1st, supporting welfare programs for children and teenagers.

The Namgwang Social Welfare Foundation expressed their gratitude, saying, “Jin’s warm heart will be a great strength to the children,” while ARMYs also shared their pride, joy, and emotion, saying, “This is exactly why we have no choice but to love him.”

The Namgwang Social Welfare Foundation, celebrating its 80th anniversary this year, is strengthening its contributions to the local community and pursuing welfare innovation under the slogan, “80 Years Together, Opening the Future.” Since its establishment in 1945, it has expanded its services across various areas, including child and youth protection, elderly care, welfare for people with disabilities, and community-based integrated care. Recently, under its vision of “welfare moving toward a sustainable future,” it has been responding proactively to the evolving welfare environment.

Jin’s good deeds are not one-time events — he continues to quietly but consistently give back. In January, he donated 100 million won through Korea University Medical Center to help patients with intractable diseases in underdeveloped countries. On May 5, Children’s Day, he once again donated 100 million won to the pediatric hospital at Asan Medical Center in Seoul.

Even on a birthday filled with gratitude and celebration, Jin thought of others first. ARMYs are sending him enthusiastic support, saying, “Kim Seokjin’s good influence is always ongoing,” “It’s his birthday, so why does it feel like we’re the ones receiving gifts?” and “This man should warn us to prepare our hearts before reading articles about him.”
