Justin Bieber's latest post sparks widespread reports of Jungkook & RM's involvement, fueling collaboration speculation

 


When it comes to BTS and Justin Bieber, people immediately think of two outstanding icons representing K-Pop and US-UK pop music, respectively. Although they belong to different music markets, the two share an interesting common ground: both are emblematic figures of the digital music generation—artists who rose to fame and built their musical empires through the internet, social media, and the power of online dan communities. 

Over the years, BTS have consistently embraced collaborations with Western artists, pushing the boundaries of K-pop. The group has worked with a long list of US-UK artists, including Halsey, Coldplay, Nicki Minaj, Steve Aoki, The Chainsmokers, Lauv, Ed Sheeran, Megan Thee Stallion, Charlie Puth, and more. However, when it comes to Justin Bieber, their relationship has so far remained at the level of rumors.

In mid-2021, Page Six—the well-known gossip and entertainment column of the New York Post—sent shockwaves through fandoms when it unexpectedly reported that Justin Bieber and BTS were preparing to collaborate on a new song. According to Page Six's exclusive source at the time, both parties were allegedly investing and effort into producing a joint track and planning its future release. 




However, four years have passed without any collaborative release, causing fans to gradually lose hope. Unexpectedly, Justin Bieber's latest post has reignited the old Page Six gossip—just as BTS are set to return as a full group. 

Many fans have likely seen the video of Justin Bieber shared on Twitter on the 12th of this month, showing him revisiting the bowling alley where he filmed his iconic "Baby" music video exactly 15 years ago and singing the song once again. The singer moved viewers by recreating the unmistakable "Baby" vibe more than a decade after its release. 

What caught ARMYs' attention even more, however, was that beyond Justin Bieber's voice, they believe they detected several other familiar sounds—suspected to belong to Jungkook and RM—who were reportedly present at the bowling alley at the time. Upon listening closely to the audio, some fans claimed they could hear backing vocals and harmonies from "people with strong vocal technique," which they believe the voices of BTS superstars. 

Beyond speculation about RM and Jungkook's involvement, some fans even suggested that all seven BTS members may have been present, claiming they could hear voices resembling Jimin, V, and Jin blended into the background. The presence of multiple vocal layers alongside Bieber's lead voice has led fans to suspect that this may have been a gathering between him and BTS—naturally fuelling speculation that they might be "cooking up" something together. 






 
Justin Bieber has previously praised BTS's global influence and the success of "Dynamite," calling them artists who are "making history" and emphasizing how they have shattered records across the global music industry. One of his most notable remarks about BTS was: "If anyone knows how to make history, it's BTS. The K-pop group has been shattering records across the global music industry."

Justin Bieber also tweeted birthday wishes to BTS in 2019 and referred to them as "my guys" when the group achieved global success with the "ON" music video and the album Map Of The Soul: 7 in 2020. That same year, he even shared a video of BTS's fan chants on Instagram, playfully engaging like an ARMY himself. 





On the other hand, BTS—particularly Jungkook—have repeatedly shown strong admiration for the "Prince of US-UK Pop." Jungkook has covered numerous Justin Bieber songs, both in full and in short clips, including "2U," "Purpose," "Nothing Like Us," "Boyfriend," "Sorry," "Peaches," and "Stay." BTS also once shared the link to Justin Bieber's "Yummy" music video on their official Twitter account, accompanied by enthusiastic emojis, effectively promoting the song. Justin later acknowledged this by retweeting it and expressing his thanks. 




With years of mutual admiration and these recent hints resurfacing, fans are now hoping that the rumors may finally be true. If it does happen, such a collaboration would undoubtedly mark a historic, industry-shaking moment in global pop music.
