Jungkook Garners Praise for Helping an Injured Reporter During His Latest Airport Appearance

 
 
 
 
The appearance of all seven BTS members at Incheon International Airport on February 2 quickly became a focal point of global media attention earlier this month. This marked the first time in nearly five years that the group had departed the airport together for an overseas schedule. The lasti time all members were seen leaving together for official activities was in 2021, before the group entered a hiatus and the members began their mandatory military service.
 
What stood out most to many observers was the group's natural chemistry. Their interactions with one another and with the press reminded fans of earlier eras when the group maintained a frequent activity schedule. For many, the scene felt like a clear step toward BTS's full-scale return.
 
On that day, BTS's maknae line showcased their vibrant energy as they appeared together as a unit. From the moment they arrived, V and Jungkook continuously greeted and interacted with members of the press. Meanwhile, Jimin was notably well put-together and attentive to his appearance—so much so that even Jin appeared surprised. Jimin later explained that because it had been such a long time since he appeared in that setting, he wanted to leave a good impression.


 


In particular, one moment that continues to be widely discussed was when Jungkook stepped in to help an injured reporter following an accident at the airport. A viral video showed a Dispatch reporter walking alongside. Jimin while filming, unaware of a signpost in front of her, which resulted in her hitting her head. Both Jimin and his bodyguard appeared visibly startled as the reporter clutched her head.
 
Immediately afterward, Jungkook—who had been walking behind Jimin—quickly moved forward and took hold of the reporter's camera, which was livestreaming the incident. While holding the camera, he and V briefly filmed themselves as if recording a vlog. Jungkook looked into the lens and greeted viewers, saying that they were on their way to an important filming schedule. V also greeted viewers, and the two shared a laugh before Jungkook returned the camera to the reporter when she jokingly asked for it back.
 



 

Beyond that moment, the reporter's reaction after being helped by Jungkook also drew fans' attention. Toward the end of the livestream, after BTS had entered the check-in area, the Dispatch reporter was seen leaving while repeatedly saying in disbelief, "Jungkook held my camera."
 
 

 

Jungkook's timely assistance gave the reporter a brief moment to regain herself after the unexpected collision. His response was widely praised for its thoughtfulness, transforming a potentially awkward profesional mishap into a charming and memorable interaction. On online forums, the idol received widespread praise for his quick thinking and consideration, with fans expressing in supporting the "right" artist.
