Korean netizens expressed their thoughts on the LED prepared by HYBE at the Goyang Concert Day 1

[Theqoo - 260410] At today's BTS's concert, the LED screen was doing art

A sephia, black-and-white-toned spectacle layered with both weather and smog effects.
There are many reviews saying that, except during the encore, effects were applied to almost every screen, making it hard to clearly see the members' faces.

The condition of the LED screen is easier to see in videos.

Not all x some ㅇ reactions

Comments:

1. Did we just pay to watch a rehearsal? Wow, how expensive is this "rehearsal"?

2. Apparently this isn't the first time. Seems like they're been putting on concerts where the LED screens weren't used properly. If there have been a lot of negative reactions from fans, the company or the artists must have heard about it—so did they just never bother to fix it?

3. If it's a 360-degree setup, they probably couldn't use the big LED screens anyway... Lol, oh well.

4. It looked like that even on the online concert—it's seriously too much. This is bad enough to deserve a refund. If it were another fandom and not BTS's, they probably would've gotten a hashtag trending together.

5. There they go again... Just use the LED screens for basic broadcast only.

6. They didn't spend money on the production, the tickets are insanely expensive, and we basically got ripped off.

7. Things that were good: sound quality, live vocals.
Things that were lacking: not much performance.
Things that were disappointing: stage production and effects, the weather, and the online streaming price.

8. The stage setup seemed fine, but I guess other aspects of the main performance weren't that great.

9. They must've spent a lot to make the LED screens that big, but it looks like the preparation wasn't fully there.

10. No, even at the venue you couldn't really see the members.... The smoke and lighting were a mess...

11. I just got back from the first concert today and I'm really disappointed. You can't just blame the weather—the stage felt way too underwhelming, and compared to the usual 3-hour BTS concerts, this one didn't even last 2 and a half hours even though it's been a while. They started 10 minutes late and ended at 9:32—like, seriously?ㅠㅠ More than anything, there wasn't that signature BTS sharp group choreography—they were just moving around freely in stage, and honestly it really wasn't for meㅜㅜㅜㅜㅜㅜ

12. They've been using those effects forever—seriously, just get rid of those pointless effects and show their faces clearly in high-resolution color. And if you made the LED screens that big, at least use two cameras for the left and right—what are they even doing?

13. I came in thinking it'd be artistic—like maybe "P" (clear/HD)—but the screen just looked foggy? I couldn't see anything at all, so I was like, "Huh? Is my phone broken?"

14. I wasn't quite this bad when you saw it in person. At first I thought, "Here they go with the artsy stuff again," but for the most part they did capture the members pretty well.

15. They said the LED screens were huge, but what are we even supposed to look at? It's a 360-degree stadium setup, and the ticket prices aren't cheap either, right?

16. The LED screens themselves seem fine in terms of size and placement, but it looks like the production just didn't work well with the weather. Smoke is a factor that really affects visibility a lot.

17. They used the smoke way too heavily, so you couldn't see anything even on the online concert. All I saw was red fog and blue fog—I couldn't tell what the members of dancers were doing at all.

18. The beginning was the worst, and it happened again later when they set off fireworks at the centre of the stage. If you set those off on rainy day, it creates a ton of vapor—you learn that just from going to a few concerts, so there's no way the staff wouldn't know. Even if it was all pre-planned, since this was the first show, they should've been more careful. Maybe not the fireworks, but they really should've cut the lightning effects at the start... That part was the worstㅠㅠ

19. Even in 4K streaming, you still can't see their faces—between the lightning, smoke, camera work, and those fabric props, it's just a complete mess.

20. At the beginning, I seriously couldn't see anything at all... Ughㅠㅠ Excuse me, concert staff—please, just stop adding all those effects, please!!!

21. The LED screens are huge and nice... But you can't even see the members who actually matter. Just get rid of those crappy effects—if this is how it's going to be, why make them so big in the first place? Is the point just to show off money and technology? I went there to see BTS.

22. It's seriously awful. The camera work was terrible even on the online concert, and the LED screens are just as bad—what even is that? Please just get rid of the smoke too. This is a 200,000 won concert—what are we supposed to be looking at? At least the sound was good?

23. The camera and video director shouldn't be getting paid if they're going to do such a poor job.

24. What am I even paying over 200,000 won to watch?

25. Please just get rid of the weird effects, weird lightning, and weird smoke—they don't help the stage quality at all. Why do they keep wasting money on pointless things?

26. It's honestly baffling—I don't even know what they were trying to show.

27. It seems like it's because of the heavy rain. When it rains, the smoke doesn't dissipate and just builds up on stage—so you really shouldn't use smoke effects in those conditions.

28. I cancelled after seeing Gwanghwamun because I felt like they wouldn't focus much on performance going forward—looks like I made the right call. It drained a lot yesterday too, so the fans must've had a hard time... And if the LED screens were like that as well, I'd be seriously pissed...

29. It's because of the rainㅜ When they use fireworks or come in with those flame effects, the leftover smoke doesn't disperse when it's rainingㅠ

30. The sound was good, and for once even the styling was done well—but everything else...^^ Please get properly prepared. Even if the artists give it their all, if the production is like this, who do you think ends up getting blamed??? Please fix this—are you really going to arrange it like that???? If so, just use the original version instead. Please get it together.
