[Theqoo] Korean netizens are once again amazed by Jungkook's global popularity

[Theqoo — 260507] Jungkook from BTS has even appeared in an American educational world biography series as the first Korean person to do so. So cool so cool.

Not long ago, Jungkook became the first Korean person to be featured in an American educational book introducing global stars.

And now, he is reportedly set to appear in a world biography series as well (*What's more surprising is that both books are from different publishers).

It is part of My Itty-Bitty Bio, an American biography series created for children's education. Since 2016, the series has covered historical figures such as Geroge Washington and Thomas Edison, making it a long-running series with nearly a decade of history.

Recently, the series has started featuring modern figures such as athletes and pop stars.

And reportedly, Jungkook is the first and only Korean person to be included so far.

Comments:

1. Jungkook really does get mentioned causally in everyday life. When I was living in Canada, I remember turning on the Tav and hearing people mention "Jungkook, Jungkook" several times.

2. I guess Jungkook's popularity in the U.S. is really huge.

3. Jungkook was even featured in a 2021 newspaper article about the most popular singers in the U.S. by birth year, as the only Asian artist on the list. It was based on actual U.S. statistics 😊 It's not like these books are coming out for no reason—his popularity and influence are genuinely massive.

4. It's honestly amazing—Jungkook has really established himself as a solo artist too, and his individual star power is on another level.

5. From educational books to even a biography series now? And not as a group, but as an individual—that's seriously impressive!

6. Jungkook is honestly on another level. He's seriously incredible.

7. This is already the fourth book published in the U.S. focusing solely on Jungkook, and they're all from different publishers. I feel like people in Korea actually don't realise just how big he is internationally.

8. It's so cool that after educational books, he's now getting featured in a biography series too. Really impressive.

9. I guess Jungkook's popularity and influence in the U.S. are really massive if he's even being featured in a biography series.

10. Wow, the fact that he was featured simply as Jungkook himself is so cool. And yeah, the Super Bowl really is such a huge missed opportunity.

11. It's interesting that out of all the BTS members, it's Jungkook who got included. I guess his huge success as a solo artist played a big part in it.

12. The Super Bowl really does feel like a missed opportunity that people will keep talking about for a long time. And yeah, a solo concert from Jungkook is something a lot of people are hoping for—with his popularity, it definitely feels possible someday.

13. It's honestly crazy that Jungkook achieved that much with only a relatively short period of solo activities. Makes people feel like he could keep doing incredibly well as a solo artist too.

14. Jungkook is really incredible. His level of recognition and status honestly feels completely different.

15. After being featured in an American educational book, now even a biography series too? That's incredible.

And Jungkook is reportedly the first and only Korean person to be included? Wow!! Congratulations, Jungkook 🎉

16. It's really fascinating that they're actual biography books about notable figures, and Jungkook is included among them.

17. I came in just after seeing the title and casually left a comment, but after looking closely at the lineup... From George Washington to Mother Teresa, Elizabeth IIz and Taylor Swift... That lineup is seriously insane.

18. Amazing! Jungkook keeps appearing in American educational books. He really is a true pop star 👍

19. Wow, isn't this genuinely such a huge deal? Just the fact that a Korean singer is being featured in a foreign educational biography series makes me feel so proud. And Jungkook really seems to have a strong solo identity even aside from BTS.

20. It really means Jungkook is being recognized as one of the representative figures of this era. He's seriously incredible.

21. Jungkook was born in 1997, so he's actually quite young. Since he debuted at such an early age, it feels even more amazing that he's already being featured in a biography series.

22. In fact that it's not just one or two American educational publishers featuring Jungkook really makes it feel like his level of influence is on a completely different scale.

23. Being featured individually in an American biography series is seriously impressive. Jungkook really is a superstar.

24. This is a completely different book from the last one too—and this time it's actually a biography series. Wow.

25. I was already shocked by the last one, but Jungkook is seriously insane in the best way.

26. Jungkook is really amazing.

27. Jungkook is seriously no joke.

28. Seriously, even a biography series now??? Just how famous is Jungkook?

29. Wow, his really does feel like a huge deal. Just seeing a Korean singer featured in a foreign educational biography series is enough to make you feel proud. And Jungkook honestly seems to have such a strong individual identity that his solo image stands out even beyond BTS.

30. Even from a non-fans perspective, a lot of people felt that Jungkook had the level of global recognition and mainstream appeal that could've really suited the Super Bowl stage, so it makes sense why people still see it as such a missed opportunity.
