Jungkook Reveals What Each BTS Member Is Really Like Through His Eyes

 

Having joined BigHit Entertainment at the age of 13 or 14 and debuted with BTS when he was just 15, Jungkook was spent nearly all of his formative years growing up alongside the six older members of the group. They were not only his family and friends but also the people who helped shape his personality and influence the person he has become today.

Jungkook himself once acknowledged this by saying, "In the way I talk, you can hear all the members. It's not like I took something, its more like I was a sponge that absorbed everything," highlighting just how deeply the members' personalities and characters have influenced the group's youngest member.

So, through Jungkook's eyes, what are the BTS members really like?

On one occasion, when asked to give a compliment to each member, Jungkook offered remarkably simple descriptions:

"Namjoon hyung is a really smart person, Seokjin hyung is a really funny person, Suga hyung is a very calm person, Hobi hyung is a very cheerful and positive person, Jiminie hyung is very adorable, and Taehyungie hyung is really charming." While these may seem like straightworward remarks, they actually carry a much deeper meaning. Each phrase reflects the defining trait Jungkook associates with his older brothers—qualities that he has, in many ways, absorbed into himself like a sponge over the years.

For Jungkook, Namjoon has always been the embodiment of intelligence, maturity, and dependable leadership. Since BTS's early days, Namjoon has guided the group through countless challenges while serving as a role model that Jungkook could look up to and learn from.

As for Jin, he was the one who broke down the age barrier to become Jungkook's friend. He always played along with the youngest member's mischievous antics and made him laugh. To Jungkook, Jin is the warm and generous older brother who taught him how to enjoy life rather than take everything too serious.

Meanwhile, Yoongi represents calmness, self—control, and the ability to remain grounded in the face of uncertainty. These are qualities that have clearly become part of Jungkook's own character as he matured. In contrast, Hoseok is someone Jungkook describe as energetic as endlessly positive—a description that few people would disagree with. Naturally, Jungkook has also inherited some of that passion and enthusiasm from his older brother.

He called Jimin is so adorable, reflectiong someone who is gentle, emotionally expressive, and deeply caring toward others, Jimin embodies the softness and warmth that Jungkook greatly admires. Taehyung, on the other hand, was described as a charming person. It also comes from his ability to make those around him feel comfortable. From Jungkook's very first day at BigHit to the present, Taehyung has been both an older brother figure and one of his closest friends.

Every one of them has left a unique and irreplaceable mark on his journey of growing up.
