[Translation] "It Hadn't Sold for a Year"—Then V Wore It, and Sales Skyrocketed

BTS's V has once again sparked a massive sellout frenzy, demonstrating his unparalleled influence.

During BTS's ARIRANG World Tour concert in Peru, the members wore traditional Peruvian ponchos. The poncho chosen by V was later put up for sale to fans following the concert, and the store has continued receiving inquiries from customers interested in purchasing the same design.

In an interview conducted at the poncho store by Latina Television, a Peruvian terrestrial television network, the shop owner revealed. "The poncho V wore had been sitting unsold for almost a year. It was as if it had been waiting for V to come and wear it himself."

The shop owner also explained that V personally selected the poncho in that particular color during a video call. Because each poncho is handmade, producing even one piece a day is difficult.

During the Peru concert, the T-shirt V wore during the soundcheck also sold out.

Meanwhile, in Chile, a wine brand experienced another sellout after V posted a photo of himself holding a bottle of wine at a winery on Instagram. Within just two hours of his post, the wine sold out at official retailers both domestically and internationally. The brand's official retailer in South Korea subsequently announced the product would be restocked in two months.

During BTS's concert in Mexico last May, fans also flocked the store selling banderillas, a popular Mexicaan-style corndog that V had purchased and eaten.

Major Mexicaan newspaper reported, "After V ate a banderilla, everyone at the concert venue started buying them." The local store even officially named the banderilla V had eaten ass "TAELICIOUS."
