As fans know, Louis Vuitton is the show that "closes" the opening day of 2025 Paris Fashion Week. The French brand's Spring/Summer 2026 men's collection show brings together a star-studded cast, attracting great attention from fashionistas.Among them, J-Hope is the most anticipated star at the event many days before as the ambassador of this high-end brand. Not only that, he has recently made a big splash when he just finished his solo world tour successfully and achieved high rankings on international music charts with the newly released song "Killin' It Girl."
To prepare for the event, J-Hope landed in Paris on June 23 and almost immediately performed the duties as an ambassador when appearing in public.
Upon landing in Paris, the BTS rapper strolled into the Louis Vuitton headquarters in a trendy brown suit, paired with a custom-made statement necklace, sunglasses, and Louis Vuitton sneakers. J-Hope's surprise appearance sent fans into a frenzy. They surrounded him until he got into his car and left.
Meanwhile, J-Hope casually interact with fans by posing and showing off his expensive jewelry. A video recording this moment posted on X (formerly known as Twitter) quickly attracted more than 13.9 million views.
But the moment quickly became a controversial topic as he was accused of copying G-Dragon's style. Some of the comments included:
- I'm crying. He really think he's something
- 20 bodyguards for 2 paparazzi and 5 paid random people to act like fans
- It acting like G-Dragon
- What I see is a Temu version of G-Dragon
- He think he is G Dragon
- GD from shein
- He's trying to imitate g dragon then failed immediately cuz his face is too ugly and has no aura at all
And so on.
In response to these criticisms, ARMYs came to protect J-Hope, pointed out his class and achievements, which made him "not" worthy of being called "something."
ARMYs comments:
— "He really thinks he's something" and he's a BTS member, the biggest boyband in the world
— He is in the biggest group in the world who has just finished his own sold out tour.
— The fact that he can sell out stadiums alone and has never given away tickets because he couldn't sell out is impressive. He has never had a concert in auditorium with 7K fans (mind you, he could sell it out!), is the highest-charting K-pop artist in the BB100 and UK charts.
— Honestly, regardless on GD or fanwars or hate tweets genuinely does he thinks he looks cools when he walks like that
— J-Hope hits 3.1 billion Spotify streams, effortlessly surpassing Big bang, a 20-year-old group from the "big 3" companies with 243 tracks, who only sits at 2.2 billion
— Just dropped the whole receipt but looks like you don't know how to read but anyways J-Hope alone outsold whole chindragon & his group let's not forget BTS members is the reason one Big bang member got their first Hot 100. Your fav are the only one who serves in BTS crumbs
— Funny how his poses and gestures are only criticized as corny when he's wearing tracksuit instead of a runway fit. He's got the fashion world in a leash while y'all still struggling to get noticed in your crusty Twitter drafts
— I mean you're following him. You make 1500799 posts about him. He is definitely something
— He really is something because not everyone can pull his type of success off
— "G Dragon the blueprint you are" here they go again claiming he invented the style when it's been around for decades
