"Overwhelming" — BTS's V Ranked No. 1 K-pop visual by plastic surgeon

BTS member V has been selected as the top representative visual of K-Pop by a plastic surgeon.

Plastic surgeon Lee Kyung-mook recently held an "Ideal Type World Cup" on his YouTube channel titled "BTS, Riize, Cha Eunwoo All Gathered," featuring 32 idols known for representing K-Pop visuals.

He chose V as the final winner, saying, "V looks cool even from a man's perspective. When male clients come in for cosmetic consultations, V's photos is overwhelming the one they bring the most often." He described V as the "wannabe star" men most want to resemble.

Not only V is considered a representative K-Pop visual, but he also holds the greatest number of title for "World's Most Handsome Man," earning him the nickname "Collector of Handsome Titles." According to Google Trends, V has ranked No. 1 globally in the topic "The Most Handsome Man" over the past 10 years, proving his worldwide recognition for his visuals.

Many plastic surgeons have stated, "V's face is close to the classic 'golden ratio,' with an oval, egg-shaped facial line that smoothly from his nose and mouth follow the golden ratio," and "His Western-style features blend harmoniously with his Asian facial structure, and his E-line — connecting the forehead. Nose and chin — looks extremely ideal from the side."

Not only in Korea but also abroad, including Brasil, a country known for its advanced plastic surgery industry — renowned surgeon Rafael Frota praised By on air, saying, " V's face has perfect symmetry and golden proportions, and it's awe-inspiringly beautiful." Broadcasting stations across Europe, including those in Greece and the Netherlands, have also highlighted V's face as a beauty standard.

In particular, when V ranked No.1 on TV Candler's 2017 list of the "100 Most Handsome Faces in the World," reviews described him as "a Western sculpture-like face with golden proportions and a mysterious Eastern charm," and noted that he "breaks the stereotype of the 'macho' image typical of Western male beauty, showing that Eastern beauty can also set global standards," with a face acknowledged by both science and experts, V has gone beyond being just a "handsome K-pop idol" to become a true visual benchmark.

With his striking appearance and unique aura, B continue to receive strong love calls from beauty brands. Recently, Korean and Japanese brand TIRTIR and Yunth simultaneously selected V as their model, launching active global marketing campaign based on his worldwide popularity.
