Jin Sets a Condition for Taehyung If He Wants the Same Gift as Jungkook

As the oldest member of BTS, Seokjin took on the role of caring for the entire group from the very beginning, especially the younger members like Taehyung and Jungkook. Even though he was only in his early 20s at the time, and wasn't making much money yet, he showed incredible maturity and always tried to take care of the younger members. He even asked his mother and older brother for money so he could buy ingredients and cook delicious meals for the members. He also took on the responsibility of taking Jungkook to and from school and spending time with him.

Now, even though all the members are in their 30s, the love and affection Seokjin shows toward the younger members don't seem to have changed at all. He still happily joins in on the maknae line's jokes and plays around with them. He also continues to generously buy them good food and give them gifts. Interestingly, however, during their recent ARIRANG tour, a hilarious situation unfolded when the younger members got into a playful competition just to win a special gift from Seokjin.

More precisely, it was Jungkook, who had received a PlayStation from Seokjin a few days earlier—not the entire maknae line. During a Weverse Live with Namjoon, Seokjin, and Taehyung, Seokjin shared, "I bought Jungkook a PlayStation when we came to the U.S. and told him to try playing it." The conversation then quicky shifted when Seokjin asked Taehyung if he ever considered trying a PlayStation, while Namjoon pointed out that Taehyung plays League Of Legends.

Taehyung immediately picked up on the hint and asked directly, "Hyung, will you buy it for me?" Surprisingly, without any hesitation, Seokjin generously responded, "Of course. If Taehyung says he'll play it, I ill. But in return, the condition is that you have to work hard of it." Namjoon added, "You have to play with hyung, too," while Taehyung confidently promised, "Hyung, I'm confident I can pour my soul into it."

Trusting his younger member, Seokjin sealed the deal right away: "Then I'l buy it for you right away. Should I get it for you?" Taehyung enthusiastically respnded, "Yeah!" However, receiving a gift from Seokjin wasn't quite that simple, as he added another condition: "What if you say it's boring and stop playing? Jungkook said he would pay me back three time the price if that happens." Taehyung even agreed to an even higher "penalty," saying, "I'll pay you back five times the price, then," prompting Seokjin to firmly conclude, "Okay! I'll buy it for you tomorrow, immediately."

The most heartwarming and endearing aspect of this interaction lies in the striking contrast between their immense wealth and the way they treat one another. In front of ARMY, they are global superstars—millionaires capable of buying luxury apartments or supercars with a single swipe. Yet in front of Seokjin, the maknae like are still simply younger brothers who enjoy being doted on.

Taehyung asking right away, "Will you buy it for me?" and eagerly promising to "pour his soul" into the gift isn't because he lacks a gaming console. What Taehyung and Jungkook truly cherish is the feeling of receiving a gift from their older bremain the rother. Taehyung's determination—even agreeing to a fivefold "penalty" if he gives up—shows just how much he values the gesture.
