BTS's V has illuminated his global popularity by receiving the "Korean Celebrity of the year" award for 2024 from the American magazine, The Netizens Report.

The magazine, The Netizens Report, selected stars who have shone in 2024 based on their talent and global and cultural influence, evaluating figures from around the world.

The winner emphasize significant achievements, in their fields and have been recognized for their ability to inspire and unite fans from diverse cultural backgrounds.

In selecting V as Korean celebrity of the year, the media noted that V has garnered the support to dedicated fans worldwide. The reasons for his selection highlighted his unwavering fan loyalty, remarkable talent and influence that transcend borders and cultures, respected character, broad popularity, and global appeal.

Additionally, it was pointed out that he became a topic of discussion not only for his artistic achievements but also for fulfilling his military service obligations, demonstrating his dedication to his country, V's award is particularly meaningful as it acknowledges his Korean stars, despite being on inactive during his military service.




V was ranked first in the Most Popular Male and Female K-pop Idols in the world in 2021 by the British entertainment media Nubia Magazine, and he was also recognized as the most popular member of BTS by Germany's largest magazine, Brigitte.

In 2024, V is proving his star power and popularity across various fields. In Google Trends, which is one of the objective measures of popularity, he ranked as the most searched Asian star in 2021, 2022, and again 2024, demonstrating that he is an icon of pop culture beyond the realm of K-Pop. In addition, he ranked fourth among the most searched male pop stars in 2024 on Google Trends, following Drake, Eminem, and Justin Bieber.

On Instagram, he achieved the highest ranking among Asian stars in the 2024 report on the most influential influencers by region and topic, particularly in the English-speaking countries such as the United States and the UK. He also maintained his top rank among Asian stars in countries like Brazil and Indonesia, which are central to K-Pop in South America and Southeast Asia, shining as a global superstar and affirming his status as the most influential Asian star in the world.
