Jimin's "Who" proves global popularity climbing back up the UK Official Chart

BTS's Jimin has once again proven his global popularity with explosive results on the UK Official Singles Chart.

According to the UK Official Singles Chart released on the 10th (local time), Jimin's title track "Who" from his second solo album "MUSE" climbed 59 spots from the previous week to secure 5th place. This marks the largest increase on this week's Official Singles Chart and represents the highest ranking since it debuted at 4th place on August 1st of last year.

The success of "Who" continued in the detailed charts as well. In the "Audio Streaming" category, it rose 22 spots to 8th place, and in "Single Streaming," it ranked 11th after placing 34th the previous week.

BTS's V and Bing Crosby's carol "White Christmas (with V of BTS)" also maintained strong performance. The song re-entered the "Physical Singles" chart at 71st place and held its position at 74th in "Single Sales" and 80th in "Single Downloads."

The success continued on Spotify, the world's largest music streaming platform. Jimin's "Who" ranked 5th on the "Weekly Top Songs Global" chart (reporting period: January 3-9), achieving a remarkable 25 weeks of continuous chart presence.

V and Park Hyo-shin's duet "Winter Ahead (with PARK HYO SHIN)" also appeared in the rankings at 48th place, along with Jin's title track "Running Wild" from his solo album "Happy" at 71st place and Jungkook's first solo single "Seven (feat. Latto)" at 79th place.

In the "Weekly Top Albums Global" chart, Jimin's "MUSE" ranked 15th, Jungkook's solo album "GOLDEN" ranked 43rd, and Jin's "Happy - :)" (Remixes) ranked 91st. BTS's anthology album "Proof" secured the 34th position, and their repackaged album "Love Yourself 硐 'Answer'" from 2018 re-entered the chart at 193rd.

Meanwhile, BTS's fourth studio album "MAP OF THE SOUL: 7," released in 2020, was selected by the American music magazine Rolling Stone as one of the "250 Greatest Albums of the 21st Century So Far," announced on the 10th.

BTS is the only Korean artist to make this list. Rolling Stone commented, “The BTS phenomenon is a global one. They have settled into the American market while maintaining their unique sound and musical style.” They further explained that "'MAP OF THE SOUL: 7' is an album inspired by the psychology of Nietzsche and Jung, featuring major tracks such as 'Interlude: Shadow', 'Black Swan', 'Friends', and 'Moon'."
