BTS member Jin personally visited a wildfire-affected area to volunteer for meal service.
On the 3rd, eyewitness accounts of Jin spread across online communities. He was spotted serving meals at Gilan Middle School in Gilan-myeon, Andong-si, Gyeongsangbuk-do.
According to reports, Jin wore a black cap, a mask, and a gray apron while distributing food. He was also seen offering warm words of encouragement to the residents. One resident commented, "He works hard without trying to stand out among the other volunteers." Jin was praised for his sincere dedication to the volunteer work.
It is reported that Jin quietly traveled to Andong out of a desire to lend a helping hand to the severely affected areas.
The location where Jin volunteered is also the site where The Born Korea, led by CEO Chef Baek Jongwon, set up a free food station. On March 28, Baek Jongwon visited Andong to console the wildfire victims and personally participated in on-site cooking and meal distribution. Since then, freshly prepared meals have been provided to evacuees, as well as military, police, and firefighting personnel involved in wildfire suppression efforts.
Previously, Baek Jongwon stated, "I hope that even a simple warm meal prepared with sincerity can bring some comfort to the wildfire victims who have lost their homes and are facing hardships."
Other BTS members have also contributed to wildfire recovery efforts through donations. Jungkook donated 1 billion won, while V contributed 200 million won, and RM, J-Hope also Suga each donated 100 million won.
