BTS members comfort Jungkook as he opens up about unfulfilled goals in his career

BTS returned with the second OT7 broadcast of the month, sending official New Year greetings to ARMYs in a more "polished" setting compared to the impromptu broadcast in the dance studio just a week earlier. This time, the broadcast was pre-scheduled, the space was decorated with a full Christmas vibe, and the members were made up and dressed in stylish outfits as they sat down to chat with their fans. At the same time, BTS's Weverse urpassed 30 million followers, reflecting strong growth in the fandom.

During the year-end broadcast, which lasted around an hour, BTS talked with fans about stories intertwining the past, present, and future. From reminiscing about their days on V LIVE, sharing funny memories from their trainee daysespecially the playful moments between close friend Taehyung and Jiminto promising an explosing 2026, hinting at a comeback possibly in January or February, and teasing ARMYs with snippets of melodies from a new song while keeping the title a secret, the members took fans on an emotional journey.

Amid the lively and constantly shifting conversation topics, ARMYs noticed a more reflective moment from Jungkook as he shared a personal regret in his music career. He expressed, "Of course, a solo concert has to happen. But I'm not sure when I'll be able to do it. I wanted it so badly. But the timing... there just wasn't anything that worked out." In his words, ARMYs could clearly Jungkook's burning desirea performer who dearly loves the stages but has not yet had the opportunity to hold a solo concert since completing his military service.

Upon hearing the youngest member's confession, the other members comforted him in a cheerful and playful way so he wouldn't dwell on his regret for too long. Hoseok teased, "Jungkook-ah, shoul we be the guests?" which excited Jungkook, who exclaimed, "You have to!" while pointing atn Jin. Jin, slightly embarrassed, asked, "Do I have to come as a guest too?" but Jungkook firmly replied, "Hyung should come and sing."

Hoseok didn't let Jungkook's idea fade and expanded on it with a plan, saying, "I should do an 'Standing Next To You' cover," which Jungkook fully supported, adding, "I'd love it. I'll cover 'Killin' It Girl' too." The Golden Maknae also sugessted that Jin perform "Super Tuna" as well.

ARMYs understand Jungkook's feelings very well because they know that, more than anyone else, he has a passionate love for performing on stage and wants to give his best to his fans. Especially considering that some BTS members have held solo tours across multiple countries to meet ARMYs worlwie, fans strongly believe that Jungkook aslo hopes to do the same and showcase his solo album in front of fans.

Moreover, seeing how much effort he put into performing at Yoongi's, Hoseok's, and Jin's concerts, it is easy to understand how meaningful the stage is to him. That is why not being able to hold a solo tour remains a lingering regret in his solo career journey.

Apart from Jungkook, three other members also had to put their solo tours on hold, and ARMYs know that this decision was made for the sake of BTS as a group and for the fandom. In 2026, all seven members are prioritizing group activities. Saying there is no regret would be untrue, as even fans hope to eventually see the remaining four members have their own solo stages to complete their individual journeys.

However, as Jungkook said, since the timing is not right yet, a solo tour is difficult to realizebut that does not mean it will never happen. Fans firmly believe that in the future, all members, including Jungkook, will have the opportunity to perform on their own solo stages while balancing group schedules and personal plans.
