2 BTS members reveal who is the "ideal boyfriend" in the group for ARMY

 

it's not just ordinary girls—many female celebrities, and even pageant queens, frequently mention BTS members when asked about their ideal boyfriend. When people think of BTS, they immediately envision seven men who share a rare combination of qualities: fame, stunning visuals, wealth, talent, strong personalities, and a wholesome lifestyle. That's why narrowing it down to just one "ultimate ideal boyfriend" is such a challenge. 

However, it's not impossible. Some quick-witted fans decided to delegate this task to BTS themselves. In various interviews, fans have asked the members to choose the one person they would recommend to ARMY as their ideal partner. Having worked together for over a decade and lived in the same dorm for nearly ten years, the members undoubtedly know each other best, making them the most qualified to select the standout candidate.

In particular, the answer from RM, J-Hope, and V carry significant weight, as they are the only members with sisters. From that perspective, they can offer a more objective and realistic view of who among them would truly be the best partner. It's worth noting, however, that while they have provided candid answer, their choices have shifted over time—especially in the case of j-hope.

The most recent time J-Hope was asked this question was during a fan signing even for he release of the mini album "Charm of Hope." During a private 60-second call, a female fan gathered her courage and asked the BTS rapper, "Can you introduce me to a boyfriend from the BTS members?"

J-Hope paused for a few seconds, as if thinking carefully, then broke into a bright smile and replied, "I'll introduce you to a 'friend'"—before naturally calling out "RM!" The fan was clearly shocked and asked, 'Really?" Meanwhile, ARMYs were just as surprised that j-hope gave the green light and suggested the leader as the top candidate for ARMYs' "dream boyfriend."

So why did J-Hope choose RM? The reason isn't that hard to understand. Known for his high IQ, calm and reliable personality, sense of humor, and comforting presence, RM gives off he energy of a "safe space"—exactly what anyone would want in a romantic relationship. With the perspective of someone who now has a brother-in-law, J-Hope seems to feel that RM is a suitable recommendation for ARMY.

Interestingly, a few years ago, J-Hope didn't seem to consider RM his top choice as he does now. This was during an interview wher RM, J-Hope, and V received a similar question, partly because of their experience having sisters. At that time, RM immediately chose Jimin and gave a detailed explanation to support his convincing answer.

First, he pointed out Jimin's gentle and sweet personality. According to the leader, Jimin is calm, knows how to ease tense situations, and would love and pamper his girlfriend. RM also praised Jimin as a good man who consistently respects and understands women through both his actions and the way he treats those around him. He believes that if Jimin were to date an ARMY, he would treat her thoughtfully and make her truly happy.

An example supporting RM's view is Jimin's behaviour during a photoshoot with renowned photographer Mugunghwa Sonyeo (MUGUNG). "It was very hot and also raining heavily that day. While I was working, Jimin came over and held an umbrella over me. I will never forget Jimin and his kindness," the photographer later shared in an interview.

That same year, J-Hope also agreed with RM that Jimin was the most ideal boyfriend type if they had to recommend one BTS member to ARMY. He described Jimin as a kind person with a gentle and friendly personality, adding that he is very loveable. Meanwhile, V echoed the older members and shared that he was deeply impressed by Jimin's innocence and warm heart.

The fact that RM, J-Hope, and V all mentioned Jimin highlights just how "perfect" his qualities are. At the same time, J-Hope's different choices between Jimin and RM ovr the years reflect RM's growing appeal in terms of maturity and reliability.

However, these choices aren't meant to determine who is "best" among them. Instead, they offer fans a meaningful glimpse into how the members see one another. In reality, in the eyes of ARMY, no matter how many recommendations they hear, the question "Who is the most ideal boyfriend in BTS?" has no single answer—because every BTS member would make a wounderful boyfriend.
