BTS Members' Current Stock Net Worth Rankings Revealed by Korea CXO Research Institute

The Korea CXO Research Institute published a report titled "Status of Individual Equity Valuations in the Cultural and Content Sector," revealing that a total of 27 individuals currently hold stock assets worth more than 10 billion KRW (approx. US$7.062.996) each. The combined stock value of these 27 individuals increased from 5.9994 trillion KRW (approx. US$4.237.076.250) during the first three months of the year, marking an increase of approximately 127.6 billion KRW (approx. US$90.117.500), or 2.1%

Among them, Bang Si-hyuk holds the undisputed top spot, with stock assets valued at approximately 4.8 trillion KRW (approx. US$3.390.000.000). He currently holds 13,151,394 shares of HYBE, accounting for 78.3% of the total stock valuation represented in this list. Thanks to recent gains in HYBE's stock price, his wealth increased by approximately 249.8 billion KRW (approx. US$176.402.540), or 5.5%, compared with the beginning of the year.

The second position belongs to Park Jin-young, the largest shareholder of JYP Entertainment, with stock assets worth 362.7 billion KRW (approx. US$256.185.818)—a decrease of 60.6 billion KRW (approx. US$ 42.706.611), or 14.3%, since the beginning of the year. Third place goes to Yang Hyun-suk, the largest shareholder of YG Entertainment, with 225 billion KRW (approx. US$ 158.906.745), or 11.5%, over the same period.

Other notable names among the top-ranked individuals include Danal Chairman Park Seong-chan (89.6 billion KRW / approx. US$63.287.571), Cube Entertainment CEO Kang Seung-gon (62.8 billion KRW / approx. US$44.351.244), D&C Media Chairman Shin Hyun-ho (44.2 billion KRW / approx. US$31.218.456), YG Entertainment Executive Yang Min-seok (40.3 billion KRW / approx. US$28.463.080), and CJ ENM Chairman Lee Jae-hyun (25.2 billion KRW / approx. US$17.797.681).

Notably, the members of BTS also ranked highly on the list, making them the only K-pop superstars featured alongside CEOs and industry veterans in South Korea's entertainment sector. Each member is estimated to hold stock assets worth around 20 billion KRW (approx. US$14.121.154). Specifically, Kim Taehyung, Min Yoongi, Park Jimin, and Jeon Jungkook each hold approximately 24.9 billion KRW (approx. US$17.585.376) in stock assets. Meanwhile, Jung Hoseok holds 22.9 billion KRW (approx. US$16.170.492), Kim Namjoon holds 21.1 billion KRW (approx.US$14.899.863), and Kim Seokjin holds 19.1 billion KRW (approx US$13.487.559).

The stems from Bang Si-hyuk decision to equally distribute 478,695 shares among the seven BTS members prior to HYBE's IPO in 2020, making them the only artists under HYBE to receive such an incentive. Att he time, each member received 68,385 shares, valuated at 9.23 billion KRW (approx. US$6.518.800)). While some of the members have retained their holdings to this day, others have made significant changes to their portfolios. Members such as Jin, RM, and J-Hope sold portions of their shares in 2021, contributing to their current stock asset values.

At the same time, this data indirectly debunks false rumors claiming that BTS's share ownership in HYBE was fabricated, as well as the misconception that BTS is the company's "fifth-largest shareholder."

Additionally, the Korea CXO Research Institute noted that HYBE's stock value soared despite relatively weak market valuations among their companies, largely driven by BTS's comeback with ARIRANG nd their world tour. Some observers even suggest that, at this rate of growth, Bang Si-hyuk could surpass his previous record stock wealth of 5.4446 trillion KRW (approx. US$3.844.866.539), which he reached in November 2021.

Following the announcement, fans were utterly amazed by the massive scale of wealth by BTS, who now stand shoulder-to-shoulder with major figures in the culture and content industry.

ARMYs Comments:

● With just a single comeback and a world tour that sold out in under an hour after nearly a three-year hiatus, they have once again sunk their claws not only into their label and agency, but into the entire industry as well. I am certain that moving forward, their wealth and shares will continue to grow, officially cementing them not just as seven boys with such massive success, but also transforming them into seven of the wealthiest singers in the K-pop industry.

● And people claim their stocks are insignificant or fake... Sorry, my husbands are so, so rich!

● BTS owns the buildings, the stocks, and the industry. Stay mad about it.

● The truth is, only HYBE, Bang PD, and BTS saw gains, while other individuals and entertainment companies suffered losses. BTS's comeback is truly the return of the kings.

● Not them being the only artists on a list full of executives—a power move, honestly.

● The numbers, don't lie! Despite the fake-share rumors, the data confirms that BTS is still at the top, earning every won of their billions.

● While BTS is still getting paid and ARMYs are staying happy, haters are busy clinging to the illusion that the group owns zero shares or has lost their power at HYBE.

● BTS staning alongside all these CEOs... That's insane. They really buit their own empire.

● Seeing BTS listed alongside top CEOs just proves that  they're not just artists—they're industry leaders.

● A comeback boosting an entire company's stock? Only BTS could do something like that.
