Group BTS has set a new personal record with its latest World tour, ARIRANG, generating approximate KR₩600 billion(approximately UD$435.549.555) in revenue. With the tour scheduled to continue through the first half of next year, its final revenue is expected to far surpass the group's previous record.

According to Billboard, a U.S.-based music publication on the 27th (local time), BTS held 38 Arirang tour shows through the 11th of this month, generating a total of US$433.2 million (approximately KR₩598 billion) in revenue. The tour has sold approximately 2.3 million tickets

This is more than double the revenue generated by BTS' previous highest-grossing tour, LOVE YOURSELF, which brought in US$213.9 million (approximately KR₩295.3 billion). In other words, BTS has already set a new all-time record despite the tour not yet being completed.

Revenue was particularly strong during the group's European leg last month. BTS generated US$102.5 million (approximately KR₩ 141.5 billion) from eight shows throughout July, ranking second on Billboard monthly "Top Tours" chart. They were surpassed only by The Weeknd, who earned US$124.4 million (approximately KR₩ 171.7 billion) from 16 shows during the same period.

BigHit Music, BTS' agency and a subsidiary of HYBE, explained, "In July, BTS performed right shows, while The Weeknd performed 16. BTS generated revenue comparable to The Weeknd's despite performing only half as many shows."



Ranked No. 3 After Drawing 185,000 Fans in Paris Alone

BTS also became the third artist in history, following Beyoncรฉ and Bad Bunny, to surpass US$100 million in monthly tour revenue the multiple months.

The group's box-office performance at individual venues was equally impressive. Last month, BTS performed at Stade de France in Paris, Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London, Allianz Arena in Munich, and King Baudouin in Brussels. All four shows ranked among the Top 10 on Billboard's Top Box scores chart.

The Paris shows ranked third among them. BTS attracted a total of 185,000 spectators across its Paris concerts alone, generating US$ 30.6 million (approximately KR₩ 42.2 billion) in ticket revenue. The London, Munich, and Brussels shows also tanked between fifth and seventh.

The record-breaking streak of the Arirang tour is expected to continue for the foreseeable future, as the tour is scheduled to run through the first half of next year. BigHit Music predicted, "Considering that the Arirang tour is scheduled to continue through the first half of next year, its revenue and performance are expected to for surpass the records set by previous tours."

BTS will continue its world tour at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, United States, on the 1st-2nd and 5th-6th of next month.
