[Translation] BTS Captivates 850,000 Fans Across South America With "ARIRANG," Proving to Be a "Global Phenomenon" That Transforms Entire Cities

All 14 shows across five South American cities sell out... Breaking down physical distances through 'personalized communication'

Massive impact on the real economy, including transportation and accomodation... Enormous influence driving urban infrastructure expansion

Local academics and media describe BTS as 'a massive phenomeon beyond culture'... Demonstrating their overwhelming staying power

Through their South American tour, BTS captivated 850,000 concertgoers, once again demonstrating the power of a 'global phenomenon' that extends far beyond music performances and profoundly transforms the economic and cultural ecosystems of the cities they visit.

According to BigHit Music on November 2, BTS successfully concluded the South American leg of their BTS WORLD TOUR 'ARIRANG' following their performances at MorumBIS Stadium in Sรฃo Paulo, Brazil, on October 28 and October 30-31 (all dates in local time).

Beginning in Bogotร , Colombia, on October 2, and continuing through Lima, Peru; Santiago, Chile; and and Buenos Aires, Argentina; the tour recorded sold-out shows across 14 performances in five South American cities, attracting an overwhelming total of 853,000 attendees.

Behind these remarkable numbers lies a deep sense of emotional connection with fans, cultivated through meticulous localization. BTS brought together key tracks from their fifth full-length album, ARIRANG, in dynamic performances, while incorporating randomly selected songs at each show to keep the experience fresh and exciting.

From delivering the playful "Assa-rabia Colombia" joke, which originated from their own content, in the local language to wearing outfits that blended Korean-inspired designs with South American colors and cultural elements. BTS tailored their performances to their audiences. Through these thoughtful gestures and interactions, they effortlessly bridged the continent's language barriers.

This connection onstage, transcending language and national borders, translated directly into an enormous economic impact that sent the host cities' local economies into overdrive. During the concerts in La Plata, Argentina, audience spending on accommodation, transportation, and other expenses alone reached approximately 46 billion won (US$34,192,863). In Santiago, Chile, the economic impact was estimated at around 72 billion won (US$53,517,874). From a sharp increase in flight bookings in Bogotร  to a staggering 48-fold surge in ride-hailing demand in parts of Lima, urban infrastructure across the region expanded dramatically in response to BTS's presence.

The massive phenomenon, which has transformed entire urban ecosystems rather than simply bringing concerts to these cities, has also attracted considerable attention from local media and academic circles. South American academics, including researchers from Diego Portales University in Chile, praised BTS's messages emphasizing self-love and social solidarity, noting that they provide the younger generation with a powerful source of resilience. Argentina's LA NACIร“N also described BTS not merely as pop stars but as a massive "global phenomenon," highlighting the strength and consistency of their influence.

After wrapping up the tour amid an overwhelmingly warm welcome, BTS shared their heartfelt feelings:

"We've made one of the happiest memories of our lives. We'll come back as soon as possible to give back all the incredible love and emotion you've given us."

Having demonstrated their formidable staying power as top-tier global artists by simultaneously influencing local economies and cultural landscapes on the other side of the world, BTS have once again shown the side of the world. BTS have once again shown the extraordinary scale of their impact. It will be exciting to see what kind of explosive influence they generate throughout the remaining stops of their tour.

Meanwhile, following the successful conclusion of their South American journey, BTS will officially begin the Asia and Oceania leg of their tour on November 19 in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, with upcoming stops including Bangkok, Jakarta, and Melbourne.
